Since he was turning "3" I only used three spaghetti noodles. But of course, you can you as many as you or your kids can stick through the hotdogs. Not only is this a fun and interesteing way to eat your hotdog and spaghetti, it's also fun for the kids to help with. My kids love helping me in the kitchen. And the messier, the better is for them. So, I got the idea of course of making little burritos and quesadilla. And boy was it YUM-MY!!

First I started to fry up some 2 eggs (scrambled till done) and then throw in my left over ham, collared greens and salt/pepper to taste. Take it out let it rest for a few minutes while you brown your soft shell taco and then add your filling and top it with your favorite graded cheese. I used cheddar cheese of course.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2cwH7eJY0xee0ixwSFp7VDtE28ihyYIe1PbUu4wmka6TsSL_xZUvhOSTAKJS4fYO24BFufiwOkiKKVCE-tQXK9iOJxGp1l7GWJ_gDMYu9rE7iIQOB17EGBAq1FcvBdXw9dhD6LGb4msf0/s400/03222011a+003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587102127349535730" />
For the kids I did little burritos and didn't add that much filling and more cheese.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggs5BVPtKTbbzUhHHfzNX4r0JDQEXGJMXEIn2JOQTtDPStWNHIflYPkW1gu9EaIzhLOb6vEtqeLyxBKaHFVadLaZx_72OlL9YWgngEI_9ymaYvrJ0Rxhnvkd-aX0SnF1DPc67nfggN_qKT/s400/03222011a+002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587102117015594898" />
For me of course, I added more filling and less cheese. :)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhK6na1O5DeUqPawwrpnDU1OyxCMTAuE5JqdL6SXHxVfX_Knh87HUeDJ2VNMUWPss19sDNrcdiPml0yNjNlzA42E6Awp-9lgn9j-Tl4dj4sq_fUyz3ygaxc2okJtFLKoTxz7s1-KKx0BXNH/s400/03222011a+006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587102118381972514" />
Turned out pretty good. Today Mckayla's having Rabbit! Well..not really rabbit but a sandwich shaped into a rabbit on a bed of spinach leafs that's eating julienne carrots, with a side of ranch for some good dipping! Awesome thing she likes all of it! She helped me arrange her rabbits "eating" the carrots. Of course, the kids and I ate them right away when we got in the car and they were gone before we drive out of the parking lot! Their just Divine goodness!

The next day when I went to the store to pick up a few things I couldn't help but picking up a few plantain to see if I can make them at home. They aren't as good as what they had at the store..but almost. This evening Connor ate his down in no time flat. Took some to my parents and Quinn said they were perfect. So that's a good start for a first timer. :)

What you will need is:
- white sugar
- large ripe plantain bananas, sliced lengthwise thick
- lumpia wrappers
- water and corn starch (you could just plain water or 1 egg, lightly beaten)
- hot oil
- caramel (you could also you, chocolate, powder sugar, etc)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFUWEnmBVgsSb4T0GAKFYth3VhqdnxqJng48-ZGLTsbc1WXNbwX_LT_ae4TcVRQFJM8mdbvnRcUpkQhs5ECBgbDG0K6zpVuE7ULDqvv82bf9qO5PnGldgB58yItjZ6csKP_p3fWc7YobY-/s400/03152011b+001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5584484614062562514" />
First cut the plantains lengthwise. This morning we woke up to a yucky raining day. So I thought that today would be a good day to get updated on some good tasty foods and see what craziness I can stir up in the kitchen. For starters, this morning my son and I made this amazing little egg, cheese and turkey quesadilla for him. He absolutely loved it and ate half of mine. But, of course...he eats "almost" anything so it's no surprise there! Since this was his, he likes eating just plain shredded cheese. So he had dollop of cream cheese and a size of shredded cheese. :)

Hope you enjoy this! This could be for breakfast, lunch or even a little snack. It's all up to you and what you like.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdkh0a64g7nzgTXicI8rTnK-vhcpy7ICJV5Xgb8WhgJQ2PlyIvYcubL1MHeQeECNUcLoyN9juRKUQR32jAk_5mRIUK1eOpwFbdQ1iSndsagf9NAAyVLKSu2TWOFzsOMd5S_GrZ3BFcP58J/s400/03102011+001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5582480755490747298" />
Here are your 5 ingredients you will need.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUrhUNbqHEktEKlndJNqLAHGHpk_JFA_NkUdlRhig3HRRmDSAL8RgE21YNnycO1wQWMKHjY7w0UN9rf5GJejz7HJwYtTMoAjSVpcDgrdX900zFysb1kSXNLM7d8vw6lEy-A9NX3hAYir2d/s400/03102011+002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5582481317507664802" />
First start by brushing oil on both sides of your tortilla.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTpG2gQSBYcRIFwVkL-2va5b9atqTDytm_lgFvbkSrnor2cTnTMaevO-oBWFuY-zYCWoLKMRkQZuIlPOISrTP2QNwyyf09a0Nc6Nv7W3TICDrDqQ1Ss0LlhUaeqF51nYkvobao5qM9wjs4/s400/03102011+003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5582481323896623250" />
Brown both sides...not burn like I did the first time. :)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgu5DIjkculoug9ezQbD428Q61tz9dzrTtKjIx6QgTaFUJ6UfbI7prWEdKEYAlGdDLI7jVz3LNf5mZj87B65NgEeyag0lBBVES1C5ugiZd5ZRWrWRAvXdg3t4ieDnLpeQ2hHLgEip-xTXD/s400/03102011+004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5582481321364329746" />
Then, with your already beaten eggs pour the eggs on to your tortilla. So I looked in the fridge and came up with this...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR-SCsB7-4Rri4Ce_J-BNO45O86W9xN4QE30zYbLIV3Yt0Ywrh1ol7x8tO_SRLzU8AsJ2F2j2zxvpKG8CSlplLBBr9U9JQsH7j3ihCdffd0xem6r43oT3kwYdF3rIhJYERMcxKm_NY_ggC/s400/03012011+001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5579321722645211074" />
Before adding the sauce, I covered the crust with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Then I added the sauce and started to layer. :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEix2A45CbQc02k4pj8HIbDJEzoXhA9TxdVO_r4qzlljuOU-3u72NMinRYOIX1Ek1vC4z54-MNzYQLrJaaDutDIUbOnpVH7Zbqvdd0bCHyr9pDoLeP8SH5pTrgp-mB7bQvrmx7WjPPwxDJoF/s400/03012011+005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5579321718175148322" />
Once everything was added I eye balled it and cut little slit on the sides making sure I had the same amount of slits on both sides and pulled them together doing every other under and over.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI9wDOiLZpnLmm6y_HG1nkqbbBD4pZTrzkKQO6kb0UzMCphRX8IrTPDHslUuoaW7y8k7Ysla3kx00ruI2pkK2bbDhJcncS7dW37a8u1Hkb8qY_WXa1v_lEjEMkioTTjGkjhHoyo6lRKUSA/s400/03012011+007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5579321492349960322" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2PexQAzgoB3K2L1FiPAzoFcmjdNmo55_UJDQ5bsFIHFiM8DLD4GhDDWYiytpIDVNSSSKWJ6KrQ1H9D0C3P2pu7wNxRqlAVX9KDuD_6bdzja6HtmexPOPIGv6KrCNgju87RF3YVpBus3hL/s400/03012011+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5579321483976223426" />
Bake in the oven at 350* for about 15 minutes (of course depending on your oven) till golden brown. Serve the remaining sauce for dipping too. The best thing is that you can add anything you like. It could be all veggies which would be my favorite or meat lovers for my husband. It's all up to you. It starts with 1 pkg. of refrigerated Pillsbury Pizza Crust, about a 1 cup of Pasta Sauce, Grated Cheese (I used, cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan), Italian seasoning, salt & pepper to taste and then my leftovers I found. Which was yellow corn, ground beef, collard greens (seasoned). Put it together nice and pretty and presto...It's Dinner!! :)Life With Little Sockshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06513681131387162298noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6625382912081251284.post-27247147423135916512011-02-24T07:46:00.001-08:002011-02-24T14:11:21.815-08:00Trash Ties<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 258px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyxO-M8VnuDVXOxrjJZF3TLbjn_RLS6jzzSRS902UcoU0QV6XOqyY7VAcob6OTAswJi0qEA2uzam4gbFyKk-TT-xjNweFy8EYs19v-8GMBlFQ-jyeFfUNmxvZ8zOpStff9mTR8pVYr6AMG/s400/Index1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5577285070849404306" />
So yesterday I was watching my all time favoraite network, the Food Network and while I was watching Paula Dean there was a lady that mention something about Trash Ties for your hair. One of my favorites is really just a slice of toast with a light lightly done over easy egg on top. It's simple just yet very satisfying! This morning I added just a little bit more to my plate. Three orange slices, small mix of roughly cut onion and ground sausage and a nice large of cup of coffee on the side (sorry not in picture)

Mornings like this make it all worth it...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizlsFAZWH5DBUEIT5XuKiff9eIdQ8vGvAR6MdLLOmUdHUQSMZsaBxjcEPN3ZmA3f_IlyWd-YYiAyCUulCUHAJjsA1kKhHwz6SfDTbMBVVTrIaEeKm4XmMSGfJgDfM6zfJR6X3HZkCyvm3y/s400/02232011+002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576897287843575474" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0A1_ZgP1mKQo5celZXlYNDUKMrc-v0h5oYD1AnTl8TM9Fg5BWv8D1SWAM7ko-ZD816QQ7Ak9dTL8Dz0_ef6882gYUZ3sV_-pMF4QIUP8XBIciNuEuHxLMiqt0JhNaRs7-GYMVNL-YLbGl/s400/02232011+006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576897286455894018" />Life With Little Sockshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06513681131387162298noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6625382912081251284.post-45004312956906974592011-02-23T06:01:00.000-08:002011-02-24T05:51:40.261-08:00Dinner Time FunI have been really falling in love with Bento Boxes and their recipes lately There are so really cute kid friendly breakfast, lunch and snack ideas! Which has really helped cause the kids lately are both going through this stage were they aren't eating much and it takes a lot to get them to complete a whole meal. So, I went to Bento Boxes and started to make even snacks a fun treat for them. It's wonderful!
This is just a little taste of what dinner looks like for the kids. It might not look tasty..but hey, the kids LOVED it and that's what matters. LOL

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMb-AGKdpT_1L9ad-p-1xTzS32xW7zx7MywLKLci6Hn5qUum1NylMRiJbkl12bgGX4ND_4FkN3fn211TrkfDqXlp3b7igA1UgV4-GK4O7EA-TiAP2waBgMmaxwQjJiPbZvDOlvsjcRaOuM/s400/02192011b+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576886259166961426" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglKNsG7Rd0sNmHURrjJhqDIPCBkG9uZWiffwl8aPuRAp_34fjzJvOoILvcDSU5LtgqPciyafu6XnOEMOlC7bjbJXK-XXd44lGiVscL3-ThBcRsI_D0mx-D1e_siiYn6BF49OydLRH9Glm0/s400/02192011b+007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576886255878005746" />Life With Little Sockshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06513681131387162298noreply@blogger.com0
